TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read these conditions carefully and retain for future reference as they form part of the contract between you and Le Bike Butler. A contract exists once you have submitted your booking, we have confirmed the booking, and received payment of your deposit.
If this Hire Agreement is submitted online or the like it is hereby deemed that upon the Customer paying a deposit, he or she has agreed to the terms and conditions of the whole of this Agreement.
Proof of Identity
Photo identification must be provided on the day of hire (without exception). Accepted forms of ID include a Driving Licence or Passport. This will be copied and stored securely for the duration of the hire.
Damage Deposit
A deposit of EUR 1,000 is required when hiring Le Bike Butler equipment. This will be taken in the form of an open pre-authorised debit/credit card voucher, which will be destroyed upon return of the equipment in a satisfactory condition.
The Customer signing the Hire Agreement Form will be held financially liable for any loss or damage to the equipment hired.
The Customer is fully responsible for all damage or loss whatsoever to the Equipment and agrees to pay for all costs, charges, fees and expenses whatsoever associated with Equipment being lost, stolen, or damaged whilst being under the use and control of the Customer under this Agreement.
The Customer is fully responsible for all damage or loss whatsoever to the Equipment and agrees to pay for all costs, charges, fees and expenses up to EUR 500 if the equipment being lost, stolen, or damaged whilst being under the use and control of the Customer under this Agreement.
In the unfortunate event of a stolen bicycle, it is your responsibility to report this to the police. Please provide a copy of the declaration given at the police station to us.
The Customer consents to and authorises Le Bike Butler to debit the Customers credit card to cover the cost of any breach by it of this Agreement.
Security and Safety
Le Bike Butler provides bikes in good working condition but occasionally mechanical problems occur. If you do have a problem please contact us and we will arrange for a mechanic to come and repair or replace the bike.
As the Customer, you understand that you are responsible for all equipment relating to this agreement. This means that you should take care to lock the bike to a fixed object through the frame and front wheel whenever leaving the bike unattended, using the lock provided.
Helmets are available for every hire, we strongly recommend everyone wears a helmet.
As the Customer, you understand that any cycling activity involves a certain element of risk, you are advised that any person using Le Bike Butler equipment does so entirely at their own risk. Le Bike Butler does not accept any liability for personal injury, loss or damage to property.
Cycling is an inherently dangerous activity. Risks include but are not limited to: death; serious injury to the customer; damage to the equipment and other bikes, gear and clothing; and damage to and/or serious injury to third parties and their property.
The Customer has inspected the Equipment and has satisfied it is fit for purpose.
The Customer AGREES TO FULLY RELEASE AND DISCHARGE Le Bike Butler FROM ANY LIABILITY whatsoever for any damage, injuries or claims, including any injuries or damages to the Customer or any third party or other person or to the Le Bike Butler’s property or third party property, as a result of the Customer’s use of the Equipment and /or bike riding.
The Customer EXPRESSLY ASSUMES ALL RISK OF LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY OCCURRING AS A RESULT OF BIKE RIDING.
The Customer acknowledges that he or she and any other person who uses or rides the hired bike understands the road rules and will not ride in a reckless or dangerous manner and will take all reasonable care.
The Customer will NOT ride the hired bike on the beach, sand or in water, should the Customer do so and the hired bike is damaged requiring it to be dismantled, thoroughly cleaned and re-assembled the costs of such will be borne by the Customer.
Booking and Payment
A payment of a 30% deposit is required to secure your booking. Please note that the balance is due in full 10 days before the start of your rental period. If your rental is within 10 days of your start date, payment in full is due on booking. Failure to pay the balance by the due date will be considered a cancellation on your part.
Cancellation
Deposits will be refunded for all cancellation made 10 days before a rental. There are no refunds after this date.
Privacy
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible. We will promptly update any information found to be incorrect.
